#Action January 6

I was doing quite a bit of reflecting last week. I thought of moments when I was overwhelmed by responsibilities, challenges, or some leadership crisis. I also reflected on accomplishments and thought back to where I started. Two themes emerged grace and ACTION.

I have come to humbly accept that anything I accomplish or overcome is thru the unmerited favor of GOD. Yes God’s Grace is responsible for any of my achievements but he does require me to provide the ACTION. I love the quote “A dream without ACTION is just an hallucination”

The past year completing 30 Day Challenges has driven home the fact that key is not to focus on success but to focus on ACTION. You have to do something and count on GOD’s grace to deliver the results but we have to provide the engagement. Isaac Newton provided us his Law of Motion. To paraphrase a few parts of the First Law “A body at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon an outside force” and “an object in motion will stay in motion…..”

My wish for everyone is to realize the power of small daily habits (ACTION) and to lean on GOD to provide you his grace. Get moving-get started.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
