Our host Jim Adams for Song Lyric Sunday has given us the prompt Alluring, Beautiful, Charming, Graceful, Seductive.

For the entire month of August I am doing a 30 Day Daily Prompt Challenge. Each day it requires you to write about that day’s prompt. So Jim is assisting me greatly. I have delayed my Song Lyric Sunday post until Monday to give me a prompt for Monday August 2nd.

Please consider carving out time to read the posts of other bloggers who responded to this music challenge. You will hopefully will discover new songs, revisit an old favorite and it is quite possibly learn a thing or two.

Here are the “rules”:
• Post the lyrics to the song of your choice, whether it contains the prompt words or not.  If it does not meet the criteria, then please explain why you chose this song.
• Please try to include the songwriter(s) – it’s a good idea to give credit where credit is due.  Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be.
• Make sure you also credit the singer/band and if you desire you can provide a link to where you found the lyrics.
• Link to the YouTube video, or pull it into your post so others can listen to the song.
• Ping back to this post or place your link in the comments section below.
• Read at least one other person’s blog, so we can all share new and fantastic music and create amazing new blogging friends in the process.
• Feel free to suggest future prompts.
• Have fun and enjoy the music.

Betting that many of the songs selected this week will feature the word beautiful. My choice was to focus on charming. Once that was decided I gravitated to an Elvis Pressley song titled “Good Luck Charm”. It was written by Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold and recorded at RCA Studio B in Nashville, Tennessee by Presley on October 15, 1961.

The song was a #1 hit for the week ending April 21, 1962. It remained at the top of the list for two weeks. It was also no. 1 on the Cash Box chart in the U.S. .

Here are the lyrics

Don’t want a four leaf clover
Don’t want an old horse shoe
Want your kiss ’cause I just can’t miss
With a good luck charm like you

Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm

A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight

Don’t want a silver dollar
Rabbit’s foot on a string
The happiness in your warm caress
No rabbit’s foot can bring

Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm

To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight

If I found a lucky penny
I’d toss it across the bay
Your love is worth all the gold on earth
No wonder that I say

Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm

To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight

Next week the prompt is Fate, Fortune, Luck.
