April 2026 will take a slightly different approach to the 30-Day Challenge. Each day of the month, I’ll be participating in the 30-Day Tai Chi Coach4aday Challenge. What will be different this time is that my daily posts won’t be limited to that day’s exercises—I want the freedom to share more spontaneous and wide-ranging thoughts along the way.
I will still include the focus of each day’s Tai Chi routine, but much of what I write may explore topics far removed from exercise. Just as Tai Chi is designed to improve flexibility, I hope my writing reflects that same sense of openness and adaptability each day. For Day 24 my focus is on TRANQUILITY

“Tai Chi” 30 Day Challenge
Searching online for a 30-Day program brought me face to face with lots of options but I have chosen a plan led by Dr Alan Potts PT. You can download the schedule I am utilizing at this link.
It looks like this.

April 24th-Tranquility
Over a period of four days earlier this week I had become consumed by worry over a situation. Day and night I would wrestle with the very advice I often present to others. When encountering something troubling my counsel has always been centered on three concepts. Spend time on what you control and what you can influence. Third, avoid worry on what don’t you have control over and turn it over to a higher power. Ignoring my own advice for over a half a week all I did was I worry incessantly on aspects of the situation I had no control over. What I did do when worry became loud and obnoxious was to pray.
At the end of day four something happened while I was driving. Out of nowhere TRANQUILITY came over me like a warm blanket. Science will offer up that my mind had simply come out of the stress cycle. For me the explanation is more spiritual. Instead of carrying the burden alone, God showed me he was present, attentive, and holding what feels too heavy for me to manage. That quiet reassurance was a gift—peace that steadies the heart and mind even when circumstances haven’t changed.
