In November 2025, many of us will be taking part in the 30-Day Human Condition Coach4aday Challenge. “Human conditions” can refer to the wide range of physical, mental, emotional, and social experiences that define our lives. Each day we will spotlight or describe those experiences. I am going to use this challenge to dive into a book called “The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows” written by John Koenig. It provides the readers words for feelings or human conditions we might be hard to describe. My condition for today is WALDOSIA.

Over the next week lots of people will be traveling thru airports, attending football games, and maybe out shopping amongst large crowds in a mall. All of these moments provide the opportunity to scan the crowd for one face and experience Waldosia.
Human Condition-30 Day Challenge Guidelines
As with previous challenges, participants are encouraged to adapt the guidelines to fit their own circumstances. If you can, commit to sharing something about a Human Condition during the month of November.
- Record or Describe a Human Condition. Try, if possible, to provide an example
- Share with a challenge partner if you have one.
- Join the conversation by posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge
If you need help in clarifying Human Conditions here are some examples

November 25th-Waldosia
Waldosia is that restless feeling you get when you’re searching a crowded space for one familiar face, as if you’re flipping through a living “Where’s Waldo” page. As your eyes sweep past strangers, your mind clings to the hope that one spark of recognition will bring a sense of relief and grounding.
