For the month of May 2024 several of us are taking on the 30-Day Astronomy Coach4aday Challenge. The simple concept is to learn something about the cosmos each day. For May 21st it is a look at RARE Astronomical Events
When we contemplate astronomical events in space, we might think of a full moon or a shooting star as unique occurrences. However, there are some events that many of us will never witness in our lifetimes. Here is a link to five of those rare events, including Halley’s Comet.
Astronomy Challenge Suggested Guidelines
Like previous challenges there are no hard and fast rules to participate. There are a few suggested guidelines.
- Each day in May learn something new about our universe either by reading or observation.
- Share that knowledge with others
