Alright Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan it is time to embrace a new 30-Day Coach4aday Challenge for the month of April. This month is it about a CONVERSATION whether real or imagined.
A memorable dialog can weave stories, exchange wisdom, and forge connections that resonate long after the words have faded. In these exchanges, harden hearts open, laughter resonates, and profound insights are born. Many times, those moments are so memorable you want to share them.
April Conversation Challenge
The overarching aim for the 30-Day Conversation Coach4aday Challenge is to engage or to repeat conversations and disseminate them. Whether these conversations hold valuable lessons, shareable insights, or are simply a mishmash of thoughts, the goal remains to foster connection and potential learning experiences for all involved.
Rules of the Challenge
First brevity is the key. Second it is not necessary to fully identify the parties involved but writing it like a script might be helpful. Third the conversations being shared can come from personal experiences, books, films, TV shows, or are imaginations.

Day 1-Retirement
Four weeks ago I was asked for some retirement advice. This is a snippet of the conversation.
Todd: (not a real name)-Hey can you give me 10 minutes to ask you about retirement.
Me: Sure
Todd: As I approach retirement in 2024, I find myself reflecting on certain recurring thoughts. One of them is: Do you miss the routine of going to work every day?
Me: I miss the people but not the responsibilities. Retiring from full time work has been a blessing.
Todd: How is that a blessing?
Me: Every day I wake up I have a plan on what I am going to do with my time and my mind. When I was working, I traded my time and intellect for a paycheck.
Todd: That is my concern what will I do with all that free time?
Me: Use it or lose it. Retire from work but not from living.
