#TopSeller July 21
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
During the month of July, I have taken up the 30-Day Curiosity Coach4aday Challenge, and today’s focus is “What it the Top Seller for a few Fortune 500 companies?”
The mechanics of this challenge involve presenting a question and subsequently uncovering the optimal response.
July 21st Curiosity Question
What is the Top Seller for the following large companies 3M, Proctor & Gamble, and Pfizer?
So just how big are each of these corporations?
Here is the ranking information for these companies as of the 2021 Fortune 500 list:
- Procter & Gamble (P&G): P&G was ranked #38 on the Fortune 500 list in 2021 based on its total revenue for the previous fiscal year.
- Pfizer: Pfizer was ranked #64 on the Fortune 500 list in 2021 based on its total revenue for the previous fiscal year.
- 3M: 3M was ranked #98 on the Fortune 500 list in 2021 based on its total revenue for the previous fiscal year.
To get that big you have to sell a lot and usually one or two products carry the day for many industries. I wanted to know what these 3 considered as their flagship.
July 21st Answer
3M
One of 3M’s best-selling products historically has been the Post-it Note. Introduced in 1980, the Post-it Note is a popular adhesive notepad used for reminders, notes, and other forms of temporary written communication. It gained widespread popularity and has become an iconic office supply item.
Proctor & Gamble
P&G’s best-selling products has been their brand of disposable diapers called Pampers. Pampers has been a popular choice among parents for many years.
Pfizer
Pfizer’s best-selling drug by unit sales was Lipitor (atorvastatin), a medication used to lower cholesterol levels. Lipitor was a popular and widely prescribed drug for the treatment of high cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart-related conditions.
