June 2026 several of us are going to take on theĀ 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.

In 1998, the Coen Brothers released a cult favorite, The Big Lebowski. The movie stars Jeff Bridges as Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, one of cinema’s most memorable laid-back characters. While the film is filled with great scenes, my favorite is the first meeting between The Dude and the wealthy Jeffrey Lebowski (played by David Huddleston), known as “The Big Lebowski,” whose shared name sets the entire story in motion.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friendsĀ Jeff NeelonĀ andĀ Jaclyn DonovanĀ have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share.

Day 11-The Dude meets the Big Lebowski

One of the most memorable scenes in The Big Lebowski occurs when Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski meets the wealthy Jeffrey Lebowski, known as “The Big Lebowski.” The Dude is looking for compensation after thugs ruin his rug while mistaking him for the millionaire. Instead, he finds himself in a grand mansion listening to a lecture on responsibility, success, and self-reliance from his wealthy namesake.
