For October 2023, I am participating in the “30-Day 30 Words Coach4aday Challenge” where the topic today is on STRENGTH.

October 16th Topic

Back in 2019 I read a book titled “Strengths Based Leadership.” I also composed a post about what I learned from the authors Tom Rath and Barry Conchie.

The book identifies three keys to being a more effective leader: knowing your strengths and investing in others’ strengths, getting people with the right strengths on your team, and understanding and meeting the four basic needs of those who look to you for leadership.

Those four basic domains of leadership are:

  • Executing
  • Influencing
  • Relationship Building
  • Strategic Thinking

Leading others is a strength but leading yourself is a superpower.”

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
