#Strangers February 20

I admire Barbara Lewis, who I view as a fantastic pop/soul singer. She released a song in the 1960’s called “Hello STRANGER”.

I performed a one day experiment two weeks ago related to people I do not know. I wanted to see how many celebrities or people of importance were actual total STRANGERS to me. Oh boy was that a large list. I define STRANGER as someone who I have no idea why they are deemed famous, important, or significant.

In short order I created a list of 10 people whose names I encountered. I had no idea who they are. They apparently are well known to many but I am just not in that club. The names popped up on news feeds often insinuating they were famous or well known. They would appear on TV. I would guess why they should be recognized and would missed badly each time. I don’t know if this makes me socially unaware, intellectually challenged, or totally out of touch with people of cultural significance.

Here is my list of STRANGERS:

The Weekend

Helena Christensen

Armie Hammers

Harry Enten

Katherine McNamara

Polo G

Adam Kinzinger

George Sherman

Anthony Blinken

Demi Lovato

I am curious if anybody else is in the same place with these ten names causing you to just draw a blank?

More importantly do I have a friend or follower who knows all ten?. If I can’t be hip maybe I can live vicariously thru someone else who knows all of these STRANGERS while I listen to Barbara Lewis.
