Walk a Mile in My Shoes

In 1970 Joe South wrote and recorded the song “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” for Capitol Records. South real name was Joe Souther. He has success writing songs for others including “Hush” for Deep Purple and Lynn Anderson “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden

Elvis Pressley turned Joe South song into a hit for himself and included it on his 1970 live album “On Stage“.

Despite being a song that is fifty years old it has a great message for our divisive world. Might be prudent for all of us before we abuse, criticize, and accuse to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes.
