Song Lyric Sunday Rules

Post the lyrics to the song of your choice, whether it contains the prompt words or not.  If it does not meet the criteria, then please explain why you chose this song.
• Please try to include the songwriter(s) – it’s a good idea to give credit where credit is due.  Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be.
• Make sure you also credit the singer/band and if you desire you can provide a link to where you found the lyrics.
• Link to the YouTube video, or pull it into your post so others can listen to the song.
• Ping back to this post or place your link in the comments section below.
• Read at least one other person’s blog, so we can all share new and fantastic music and create amazing new blogging friends in the process.
• Feel free to suggest future prompts.
• Have fun and enjoy the music.

Communication Breakdown

My choice for this week’s prompt is “Communication Breakdown”. It is actually one of the first songs the band Led Zeppelin every worked on. In was included on their debut album (Led Zeppelin) which was released in 1969. Sometimes this album is called Led Zeppelin I

Running 2:30 in its studio version, this is one of the more compact Led Zeppelin songs. In fact even in live sets the song often only was stretched out to 3:00 minutes. It became the anthem for frustrated youth in the 1970’s. One interesting fact about this song was the all four of the member of the band contributed to this song but Robert Plant was still under a previous contract so his name is not associated with the song.

Communication Background has a very unique guitar riff that Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page said was difficult to play because it required quick downstrokes with a pick.

Lyrics

Found a 1969 Black and White Video of Led Zeppelin performing the song in Denmark

Next week the prompt will be Atoll, Island, Key, Lagoon, Peninsula, Reef, Tropical
