For today’s 30-Day Baseball Coach4aday Challenge post I am reporting on RICHIE Ashburn.
Don Richard “Richie” Ashburn had a long tenure with Major League Baseball. He spent 15 years playing and followed that up with 34 years as a broadcaster for the Phillies. In 9 of those 15 years, he batted over .300. In 1955 and 1958 he won the NL Batting Championship. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1995.
