#Practice March 16

Last week I read something about the importance of PRACTICE. The context was about spiritual growth not physical performance but its application still holds true.

The nugget I read was from Philippians 4:9 and stated “Whatever you may have learned from me put it into PRACTICE”.

We all can read, watch videos, and learn about concepts that will improve performance but we have to put them into PRACTICE. The lessons I have learned from creating new habits thru 30 Day Challenges have enabled me to grow and improve my performance. The key component is I am improving not necessarily outdoing my peers or becoming the best in the world.

When we decide to PRACTICE at anything we begin the journey to create a habit. Habits are a useful tool; when we do something enough times, we can become so good at it we don’t even think about it.

Aristotle is viewed as a very smart man. He has a quote that I love

“Excellence is not an act but a habit”. You get to that place thru PRACTICE.

Spend some time thinking about a new habit you want to create. Then begin to PRACTICE.
