Today’s Coach4aday post is on tracking PLANES.

This past week in North Carolina we have a spell of weather that makes Chamber of Commerce people happy. Clear blue skies and afternoon temps in the 70’s with low humidity.

Those beautiful afternoon and evenings have me sitting outside and looking up at the sky. I have seen numerous planes and their contrails soaring over my home. Got me wondering where each flight was headed. Discovered there are apps that can help with that question.

Plane Tracking Apps

Here are three apps that allow you to check flights flying over your location:

  1. FlightRadar24: FlightRadar24 is a popular app that allows you to track flights in real-time. It provides a detailed map of flight routes and flight status updates. You can zoom in to your location and see the flight paths of planes flying overhead. The app also provides flight details such as aircraft type, flight number, and departure and arrival times. Here is snippet of what I saw while doing my research.

2. Plane Finder: Plane Finder is another real-time flight tracking app that allows you to see the location and flight path of planes in the air. It provides information such as flight number, aircraft type, altitude, and speed. You can also set up alerts for specific flights or aircraft types.

3. Flightradar.live: Flightradar.live is a web-based flight tracking platform that allows you to view flight routes and flight status updates in real-time. It provides detailed flight information such as flight number, aircraft type, altitude, and speed. You can zoom in to your location and see the flight paths of planes flying overhead. The app also provides an archive of flight data so you can look up past flight information.

If you want to know where planes are headed these apps can let you know.
