April 2026 will take a slightly different approach to the 30-Day Challenge. Each day of the month, I’ll be participating in the 30-Day Tai Chi Coach4aday Challenge. What will be different this time is that my daily posts won’t be limited to that day’s exercises—I want the freedom to share more spontaneous and wide-ranging thoughts along the way.
I will still include the focus of each day’s Tai Chi routine, but much of what I write may explore topics far removed from exercise. Just as Tai Chi is designed to improve flexibility, I hope my writing reflects that same sense of openness and adaptability each day. For Day 18 my focus is on OVERPACKAGING.

April 18th-Overpackaging
Frustration in shopping often comes after the product is delivered and you have to open it. Whether it’s a blister package that requires scissors to open or the excessive number of straight pins in a men’s dress shirt, many products today feel overpackaged. In both cases, the amount of material used seems far beyond what’s actually necessary.
The issue of overpackaging is taking a toll on our landfills especially because of plastics. Not silver bullet to solve the issue but there are small steps we all can take outlined in this article titled Why Less is More.
