There is amazing feeling that comes over most people when they realize someone has taken the time to NOMINATE them for an award or recognition. We all can be that person who gets to NOMINATE someone.

Have you ever experienced fantastic customer service? Have you observed individuals going above and beyond what is expected in the workplace, church, or in the community?

When this occurs you have caught people doing the right thing. If you encountered people being rude, unethical, or violating the law you would call law enforcement or their supervisors and complain.

When you experience people doing the right thing have the same reaction but instead of complaining go ahead and brag on them.

Here are some ways to do that.

  • NOMINATE people for an award if applicable
  • Write a letter to their supervisor or president of organization and brag on them
  • Take that person to lunch and say thanks
  • Take time to tell them what you experienced or saw and say thanks

When the opportunity arises in your life to NOMINATE someone don’t discount it. A nomination is an act of love that will not only benefit that person and the community but will put you the nominator on the path to becoming a servant leader.
