There is something magical about seeing the MOON rise over the horizon.

Full MOONS have been given many names by various cultures around the world. Many people realize that our calendars today are guided by the solar year not the lunar calendar. That has not always been the case. Early civilizations tracked time by earth’s lunar neighbor.

Publications often give names to each full MOON. One example is the The Old Farmer’s Almanac. You can find their list of names here.

Poem of the Day-April Moon

The piece of poetry I read today for the 30-Day Poetry Coach4aday Challenge was called April Moon by Cathy Song

If you want to read it this link will take you to it.

Patience and Perspective

This morning as I looked up in the sky, I realized our moon appears to be half-full. Yet next week it will become full again. One thought came to me as I looked at today’s half-moon. Part of its totality is ensconced in shadows.

My perspective of it was half-full but that was not reality. The fact is the the MOON is always full we just have to have patience to experience that view.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
