For September I am participating in the 30-Day Literary Lesson Coach4aday Challenge today the lesson is on MEMORY.

Many of the people in my social circle are dealing with family members who are suffering from various forms of cognitive brain issues. Memory loss can be frightening especially when you are exposed to all the television ads promoting various over the counter memory enhancements. Sometimes those commercials have me second guessing my own ability to recall events or names.

Literary Lessons on Brain Power

Regular physical exercise changes our brain and makes them stronger. So does Brain Challenges. As the saying goes “Use it or Lose It”. One of the previous 30 Day Coach4aday Challenges I completed in December 2021 was a Quiz Challenge.

I found a good article on what is just normal aging and what might require a doctor’s consultation. The article is titled “How Memory and Thinking Change with Age”

One of the takeaways from that article was the difference of normal aging and concern. The chart below may be helpful. It also gave me peace of mind that I don’t need to go purchase Prevagen.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
