#Labels February 2

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

We probably cannot go thru a day without putting a LABEL on someone. We encounter people we tag as kind, mean, grateful, self-centered, and on and on.

The danger with a LABEL is we have a default way of thinking that it can never change that it is always fixed. The most dangerous practice of LABELING involves how we LABEL ourselves. Carol Dwerck wrote a book called Mindset that says that all LABELS (our mindset) are not fixed, it is possible to have LABELS evolve. It is possible to change them.

In her bestseller, she shows how success in relationships, education, a career, on a team, our creativity and almost every area of human behavior and performance is influenced by the LABELS we give ourselves. I will repeat what I wrote in the last paragraph not all LABELS are fixed they can be altered.

Maybe all you need today is just to listen to Rock Thomas story. Rock Thomas is the founder of Rock Thomas International

What fixed LABEL are you going to start working on changing?
