An interesting 30 day challenge is to immerse yourself in INTERCESSION.

When you pray on behalf of others and not yourself you have engaged in INTERCESSION.

I have no doubt that countless people have lifted me up in prayer in my lifetime.

I recently read about groups of people who join together for a period of time (30 days) to pray. The primary focus is on praying for the needs of those beyond the group members. Groups can have a broad agenda, but some have a more specialized focus.

What is the benefit?

First it is a selfless act. It removes any issues you might have with someone and places it in God’s control. I also believe after 30 days it softens your impulse to become angry with others. Overall it improves your attitude to others and it a great act of servant leadership.

In doing some research I loved a quote I came across “When People Intercede on Behalf of Others, God chooses to Intervene”

I found a link if you are interested in starting Intercession Prayer Group.
