Fe is the symbol for iron.

Here are three facts about iron.

Most Abundant Metal in the Earth’s Core: Iron is the most abundant metal in the Earth’s core, making up about 85% of its total weight. This abundance is responsible for the Earth’s magnetic field, as the movement of liquid iron in the outer core generates the planet’s magnetic field.

Essential for Life: Iron is a vital element for living organisms, especially in humans. It is a key component of hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Iron also plays a role in various metabolic processes and the production of energy.

Widely Used in Industry: Iron is one of the most widely used metals in the world, primarily in the form of steel. Steel is an alloy made from iron and carbon, and it is used in construction, transportation, manufacturing, and numerous other industries due to its strength, durability, and versatility.
