October 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Celebrity Alma Mater Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we will identify a celebrity and share where they attended college. For Day 27 it is on BRIAN BOSWORTH.

When I ask someone what actor plays the sheriff in the Dr Pepper TV Fansville commercials more often than people do not know.

Well, the answer is Brian Bosworth. Who starred for the University of Oklahoma football team from 1983-1986. He garnered a reputation for outlandish hair styles, hardnose play, and criticism of the NCAA. He also got banned from playing in a bowl game for testing positive for steroids. He was drafted in a Supplemental Draft of NFL in 1987. He left the NFL in 1990.

After the NFL he found work in TV and Film, but he gained notoriety for TV commercials. In 2014 he did one for Dish TV and in 2028 he began his role as Sheriff for Dr Pepper.
