#Bottle February 14

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

In February 2026, many of us will participate in the 30-Day Six-Word Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, we’ll tell a story using just six words in response to that day’s prompt. A daily six-word story challenge encourages clarity, creativity, and intentional reflection by forcing us to distill our thoughts into what truly matters. Regular writing supports brain health by strengthening memory, improving focus, and encouraging deeper cognitive processing through reflection and creativity. Today the prompt is BOTTLE.

Six Word-30 Day Challenge Guidelines

As with previous challenges, participants are encouraged to adapt the guidelines to fit their own circumstances. If you can, commit to sharing an ingredient from a food label during the month of February.

  1. Locate today’s prompt found below and write a six-word story using the prompt word.
  2. Share with a challenge partner if you have one.
  3. Join the conversation by posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge

Prompts Day 1-30

The idea for this challenge comes from Home in Heels website. The creator is an author named Barbara who lives in Wisconsin and I am posting the free download she offered which is shown below

Day 14-Bottle Story

There are words that can describe the many parts of household items. Consider the fork it has tines.

The same can be said for the glass bottle.

Main Parts of a Glass Bottle

  1. Finish – The very top portion of the bottle that holds the cap or closure.
  2. Lip – The uppermost edge where you drink from or where the cap seals.
  3. Neck – The narrow section just below the finish.
  4. Shoulder – The sloped area between the neck and the main body.
  5. Body – The main cylindrical portion that holds the contents.
  6. Heel – The curved area where the body transitions to the base.
  7. Base – The bottom surface that allows the bottle to stand.
  8. Push-Up (Punt) – The inward indentation often found on the bottom (common in wine bottles).

My story attempted to talk about those different parts utilizing a Bell’s Two Hearted Ale.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
