June 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene.
Heaven Can Wait is a 1978 movie about Joe Pendleton, a professional football player who is taken to heaven by mistake before his time. To correct the error, he is given a new body and a second chance at life. No one recognizes him, and he must adjust to his new identity as Leo Farnsworth a multi-millionaire who was murdered by his wife and her lover. Pendelton now as Farnsworth being played by Warren Beatty has one goal to play Quarterback for the LA Rams.
No one has discovered that Farnsworth is dead. There is a scene when he reappears to his wife that involves her lover telling Farnsworth (Pendleton) a lie about a MOUSE.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share.
Day 24-Mouse
My chosen scene takes place when Leo Farnsworth is paid a visit at his home by an environmental activist named Betty Logan played by Julie Christie. She tells him that people are frightened by him and his company’s policies. During their conversation Mrs. Julia Farnsworth played by Dyan Cannon and Tony Abbott played by Charles Grodin walk in. Abbott and Julia are stunned to see Leo alive.
