Today ends the 30-Day State Trivia Coach4aday Challenge for March. It has been a blast learning about a Wyoming’s history, locations of interest, and people. My post is a RECAP of what I learned.

What made this month fantastic was it just wasn’t Wyoming? Thanks to Jeff Neelon, Sallyann Clark, Matthew Sullivan, and Jaclyn Donovan I got educated in all things Arizona, Alaska, Missouri, and Idaho.

Impact of the State Trivia Challenge

The essence of this 30-Day Challenge was to learn about a state you have never visited or lived in. Each day when I researched and wrote a post about Wyoming it piqued my curiosity and desire to want to visit. Learning about the National Parks, the wildlife, the vastness, its weather extremes, its natural beauty, and people began to consume my thoughts about going there. I began to feel a kinship to Roy Neary who was drawn to visit Devil’s Tower in the movie “Close Encounter of a Third Kind“.

Last week my wife and I booked flights to go visit Wyoming this summer. Our itinerary is still in flux, but we will spend a week at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. There is so much I hope to get to see on my trip. Feeding my curiosity led to a decision to go travel and that is a pretty good outcome from any 30 Day Challenge.

Tomorrow it is on to a new 30-Day Challenge for April. Hope you will give it a read and decide if joining us works for you.

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
