Opinion, motivation and desire are all things under our control. In our modern world they are not in short supply. Each of those three factors goes in to answering the question what is your VOCATION?

One great response to that question came come from Marcus Aurelius. He was a Roman Emperor and Stoic Philosopher. Stoics believe that the goal of life is to conduct yourself with a calm mind and the certainty of your moral worth.

He has a book called Mediations

Aurelius answered the question by stating our goal should become a good person. The page below comes from the book The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday & Stephen HanselmanĀ

What is your Vocation?

As I read about Stoicism one thing stands out. It is not things that upset us, it is how we think about things. Stoics taught us that we often have no control over the things that happen to us only how we react.

I am off to fulfill my VOCATION today.
