In December 2025, many of us will take part in the 30-Day Rewind Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, we’ll rewind, review, reflect or—in my case—re-blog one of my nearly 4,000 posts that highlight experiences shaping us into better versions of ourselves. If you don’t have a blog, your reflections can come from a journal or even a meaningful memory tied to something learned, a goal reached, or a personal effort to improve. These daily habits of looking back will serve as a powerful springboard for taking on a new and ambitious challenge in 2026. Today my rewind is on a TRILLION Dollars.

Tracking the US Debt is a function of the Paul Peterson Foundation. They have a dashboard on their website that tracks the US Debt. That total as of December 11, 2025, is in excess of 38 trillion dollars. Back on January 17, 2020, I wrote about how much physical space that amount of money would take to store.
Rewind-30 Day Challenge Guidelines
As with previous challenges, participants are encouraged to adapt the guidelines to fit their own circumstances. If you can, commit to sharing a rewind, review, or reflection during the month of December.
- Rewind, review, or reflect on a past effort to improve, a lesson you learned, or a goal you accomplished.
- Share with a challenge partner if you have one.
- Join the conversation by posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge
December 13-Trillion
A Trillion has 12 zeros in it. It also can be described as 10 to the 12th power.
If you want to visualize how much space it would take to store a Trillion in $100 dollar bills examine the fillowing.
A standard wood pallet in the US has dimensions of 40″ by 48″. The photo below is stacks of $100 bills on nearly 12 pallets. That is the physical space a billion dollars would take up. You would need to have 1,000 of these 12 pallet groups in a room to make up a TRILLION dollars. So, a billion dollars would require over 120 square feet of storage. A trillion dollars would require a warehouse of over 120,000 square feet
This is a stack of $100 bills equaling a billion dollars.
