May 2026 the 30-Day Coach4aday Challenge will feature travel pictures. It is a simple daily activity of posting a photo of a place that you have traveled to or a location you plan to visit. Today it is a STAIRCASE inside the Iowa Law Library located inside the Iowa State Capitol.

This month marks the 77th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For May 2026 participants simply commit to taking or sharing one travel-themed photo each day for 30 days. Each photo just needs to be accompanied by a simple descriptor. Day 7 -Spiral Staircase

When my wife and I visited the Iowa State Capitol in September 2023, we had no idea what was waiting in a tucked-away corner. Stepping into the Iowa Law Library, we were immediately struck by the room’s architectural splendor—especially the stunning spiral staircases that seem to define the space.

Here is a photo I took. The railings are wrought iron. Highlight of the capitol tour was going in this room.
