https://www.lucasoilstadium.com/In September 2025, many of us will be taking part in the 30-Day Monuments Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we will spotlight one of the nearly 50,000 National Monuments or Memorials across the United States. In addition, we’ll feature a wide range of other tributes—from statues honoring heroes and athletes to memorials recognizing outstanding citizens and many other categories. Today the post is on a statue of PEYTON MANNING which sits outside of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis IN.

Peyton Manning was the first overall draft choice for the Indianapolis Colts in 1998. He played quarterback for the Colts for 14 seasons (1998-2011). He had a neck injury that led the team to releasing him and he signed with the Denver Broncos (2011-2015)

In 2017 the 9-foot-high statue was unveiled sitting at the front entrance to Lucas Oil Field.

September 24-Peyton Manning

The bronze statue of Peyton Manning was sculpted by Ryan Feeney of Indy Art Forge Studios. At the request of Manning he was portrayed wearing a helmet and as a younger version of himself.

Since retirement from professional sports, he has media appearances, guest commentary, and his popular ESPN+ series Peyton’s Places. He has also pursued business and philanthropic ventures, including supporting children’s hospitals through the PeyBack Foundation
