This month marks the 77th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For May 2026 participants simply commit to taking or sharing one travel-themed photo each day for 30 days. Each photo just needs to be accompanied by a simple descriptor. Hope you decide to join the 30-Day Travel Pics Coach4aday Challenge.

Day 9-Salt Lake Tabernacle Organ

The organ at the Salt Lake Tabernacle is one of the most famous pipe organs in the world, known for its immense size and rich, resonant sound. First completed in 1867, it has been expanded and refined over time and is closely associated with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. Its distinctive façade, with towering pipes that resemble a spread of wings, has become an iconic symbol of both the Tabernacle and Salt Lake City.

On a visit to Salt Lake City in 2000 I got to see it and hear it during a rehearsal. Today the organ has 11,623 pipes, 147 stops, and 206 ranks.
