If you are a fan of middle of the road Rock and Roll acts from the late 1960’s you may have heard of Buffalo Springfield and Poco. One member of both of those bands was Jim Messina. In 1970 he had moved on to Columbia Records as a record engineer and he met Kenny Loggins. Messina immediately identified him as a talented singer/songwriter The two became know as LOGGINS and MESSINA.
When the two began to work together the original concept was to have it all about Kenny Loggins talent and Messina’s connections. It includes some great songs including “Danny’s Song” and “House at Pooh’s Corner“
That partnership existed for 6 years and produced 6 studio albums and 3 live albums.
In 1976 the duo split up. Touring regularly, Loggins and Messina eventually played more than seven hundred engagements in five years. from 1971 to 76
