For January 2025, several of us are taking part in the 30-Day Song Lyrics Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we utilize a theme and post the song lyrics from a song that connects the two. Today my theme is Life or Death, and my song choice is LIFE IS A HIGHWAY.
My choice for today can be found on an album titled Twenty Years of Rascal Flatts which includes the song “Life is a Highway”.Even though I first heard the song on that album I have learned it was written Tom Cochrane in 1991.
It was on his Mad, Mad, World Album. Many readers may be like me and have never heard of Cochrane before but he quite the celebrity in Canada. His honors include the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, being an Honorary Colonel in the Canadian Air Force, and having been inducted onto the Canadian Walk of Fame.

January 15th-Theme-Life or Death-Song-Life is a Highway
Rascal Flatts got asked to perform a song for the Disney movie Cars. They recorded a more kid-friendly version of Life is Highway for that 2006 movie. Most of the songs on the soundtrack for Cars was written by Randy Newman. Here is the complete soundrack:
