Today for the 30-Day Sign Coach4aday Challenge my post is about instructions for a dead FLASHLIGHT.

Truth in advertising the sign is really about how to treat people that are hurting and might have had their light temporarily turned off. The lesson is galvanized by using a parable involving the need for installing new batteries.

Message for a reader

Last week I got reminded what all writers need to remember. Sometimes what we communicate to our readers really resonates. How that came about was honest feedback. Thru a secondhand source I learned that one particular follower of this blog stated “I read every post and every once in a while, it speaks to me”.

Accepting that everything you write might not interest every reader every day is not the important revelation. The key takeaway is that every once in a while, your message connects with someone. That is motivation enough to keep posting. So, for that one reader it is my sincere hope that the sign for today’s 30-Day Challenge on what to do with a flashlight will shine a light your way. If it doesn’t there will be another post tomorrow with me attempting to find the right size battery to fit your broken flashlight.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
