For March 2024 several of us will be participating in the “30-Day Shout-Out Coach4aday Challenge”. Today the recipient is ERICH VON HACKNEY.

Erich Von Hackney is one of my backdoor neighbors. This year he was involved in a terrible automobile accident that has him battling a number of injuries.

Rules of the Challenge

Organizing and participating in the 30-Day Shout Coach4aday Challenge is very simple. Below are the steps.

Here is how to participate.

  1. Identify who gets the daily Shout-Out and make sure they know you are recognizing them.
  2. Describe why you giving them a Shout-Out-what are they doing that is notable?
  3. Do this daily for 30 Days posting on social media with the hashtag #Coach4adayChallenge

If you need ideas on how to give someone a daily shout-out here is a link on LinkedIn with some ideas that are good for the workplace.

March 15th-Erich

Erich Hackney has served in a number of roles during his career. He was in the US Army, worked for the NC Highway Patrol, and has been an investigator for law firms and district attorney officers. He also served as Lumberton City Council member for 15 plus years.

He also is a great neighbor who was constantly vigilant in keeping an eye on the coming and goings in the neighborhood until his accident.

When people are on a long road to physical recovery, they just need a shout-out of encouragement to focus on winning today. That is what this post is intended to do for Erich.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
