This prompt just requires you to share what is your favorite DAY of the year. Two DAYS you cannot mention are Christmas and your Birthday. Offer an explanation on why that particular date is special to you.

Favorite Day of the Year

Being retired brings lots of joy and excitement to just about everyday of my life. The prompt to just pick one day was daunting because so many special events occur each year. I have wrestled with the date of my wedding anniversary, my wife’s birthday, my children’s birthdays, and all sort of holidays as a choice.

In the end I realized one DAY stands out amongst all the others. It is July 18. That is the day my granddaughter was born. Unless you are a grandparent you may not get how significant of a life changing moment it is. Yet the DAY she was born my life changed for the better.
