A few weeks ago I received a Challenge COIN from a friend who is involved with professional sports.

A challenge COIN is a small medallion, bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members. The popularity began with the military when often unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of their unit was presented a COIN.

Over the years I have been presented various Challenge COINS. The picture below represents some of the ones I have been honored to receive.

I cherish each one for a variety of reasons with one commonality. Each one I have received was given in appreciation for some shared value I had with the individual who gave it to me.

Over the past 15 months as I have completed various 30 Day #Coach4dayChallenges. I have been able to share that experience with others. Yesterday a friend named Jaclyn completed a part of the Ethnic Food Challenge that got me thinking. I wish I had a Challenge COIN for each month so I could be offering up my appreciation to others for a job well done.

Since I don’t have the COIN hope everyone who has completed a 30 Day Challenge will accept this virtual coin.
