#BlogofMonth February 3

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

t has been my practice to use the 3rd of each month to feature what I call the “Blog of the Month”. I profile a blog I follow and encourage you to explore it also.

Here is my post from January 2020 on the Harvard Business Review

February 2020 Blog of the Month

The Blog of the Month for February 2020 is Alan Stein Jr.

I love when friends or readers suggest a blog or twitter feed for me to follow. That happened back in December when Wendell Staton recommended I start following Alan Stein Jr. on Twitter.

Alan is a graduate of Elon University where he was part of the Basketball Team.

He is a fabulous performance coach, leader, author, and public speaker. He spent nearly two decades as a performance coach, helping professional basketball players including Kevin Durant get better at their craft. He had a relationship with the late Kobe Bryant.

I really encourage you to consider following his blog. Alan is a disciple of routines, habits, and rituals. I am a big believer that all of those things lead us to being better. As Alan says in his Ted Talk below. We all choose our habits. Our habits dictate happiness.

Alan has written a book called “Raise Your Game” which covers techniques to become an effective teammate and leader. Consider giving it a read and see if it makes you feel something about changing your habits.

Coach4aday

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
