Today begins a new month and that means taking on another 30 Day #Coach4adayChallenge. For November it is going to be listening to an entire record ALBUM each day.

Excited that my Challenge Partners Jaclyn Donovan and Jeff Neelon have told me that they are onboard this month.

List of Past 30 Day #Coach4adayChallenges

These challenges began in January 2020 and to date I and others have completed 22 of them. The entire list can be found below.

Album Challenge Guidelines

Each day you pick out an album and listen to it from start to finish. It is not necessary to complete this in one continuous session just listen to it in its entirety each day.

There are so many ways to listen to an ALBUM in 2021. Spotify will be the way I will accomplish this challenge. With Spotify playing an entire album is just as easy as playing individual tracks. To play all the tracks from an album, simply navigate to the album, right-click the album’s name or cover, and select Play.

If you don’t have a paid music streaming service YouTube may be an alternative.

Or you may be old school and just put vinyl on a turntable, pop in a cassette, or listen via a CD. How you listen is up to you.

Tumbleweed Connection

My first album is Tumbleweed Connection by Elton John.

This album was one I owned and it was released in 1970 while I was a High School Student. It was Elton John’s third studio album. For many people this record was how we got introduced to the genius of Elton John. His piano playing abilities along with his singing captured me some 50 years ago and still does today.

Rolling Stone Magazine included this album on their Top 500 List. Every song on this album was written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin with one exception. “Love Song” was penned by Leslie Duncan.

There are a few favorite songs on this album I have always liked. They include:

Amoreena

My Father’s Gun

Burn Down The Mission

Country Comfort

This #Coach4adayChallenge for November 2021 will stretch many music buffs. Research indicates that only a small portion of users listen to a full album. Come invest some of your time in listening to an ALBUM each day. We all need to be reminded that listening to a whole ALBUM is determining what each artist has to say.
