October 2026 several of us are going to take on the 30-Day Celebrity Alma Mater Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we will identify a celebrity and share where they attended college. For Day 5 it is on GUY FIERI.

Not everyone’s educational journey follows a straight line. Guy Fieri is a great example. Today, he is an entrepreneur, restaurant owner, and celebrity host of several Food Network shows, including Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. But his path to success took a number of unexpected turns, reminding us that there is more than one route to discovering where our education and experiences can take us.
Guy Fieri’s educational journey certainly did not follow a straight line. It began in high school, where he took a French class at College of the Redwoods because his school did not offer French. That class helped lead him to an exchange experience in France, which broadened his interests and perspective. After returning home, Fieri earned his GED and enrolled at College of the Redwoods before continuing his education at American River College. He eventually transferred to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned a degree in hotel management.
