June 2026 several of us are going to take on theĀ 30-Day Movie Scene Coach4aday Challenge. Each day we share a YouTube clip from a movie and explain what is intriguing about that particular scene. It is a simple daily activity of sharing a Movie Scene. My focus today is on MOSES from the film “The Tem Commandments”.

This month marks the 78th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For June 2026 participants simply commit to sharing one movie scene from a film. Each scene just needs to be accompanied by a simple explanation on what is happening or why it was chosen. Hope you decide to join us or enjoy the clips we share.

Day 4-Moses

Cecil B DeMille was a talented film director who was involved with a number of movies including Sunset Boulevard and The Greatest Show on Earth. His last film was The Ten Commandments and released in 1956. It became one of the highest-grossing films of the 1950’s. Nearly 70 years later, it remains a popular television tradition around Easter and Passover.

Moses is the leading character in The Ten Commandments, and he is played by actor Charles Heston. The scene I selected from the film is when Moses goes before King Rameses II played by Yul Brenner and demands “Let My People Go“.

Can just imagine people shrieking in a packed 1956 movie theater when those cobras start appearing.
