May 2026 the 30-Day Coach4aday Challenge will feature travel pictures. It is a simple daily activity of posting a photo of a place that you have traveled to or a location you plan to visit. Today the focus shifts to the view of a few golf foursomes.

This month marks the 77th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For May 2026 participants simply commit to taking or sharing one travel-themed photo each day for 30 days. Each photo just needs to be accompanied by a simple descriptor. Hope you decide to join the 30-Day Travel Pics Coach4aday Challenge.

Day 24-Golfing Foursomes

Sometimes life gives you the blessing of belonging to a group. One of those places often happens on the golf course when you tee it up with three others. A foursome may come together by chance, but more often it is made up of cherished friends or family. Most golfers I know remember the stories, laughter, and camaraderie far more vividly than the score they shot that day. That has certainly been true for me.

Here are some of my favorite foursomes

In 2006 my four sons (ranging in ages 24-20-16-& 7) going out to play in a golf tournament together in Lumberton NC

2024 Lumberton Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament (L-R) Dan-Carey Read-Joe Butler-Alan Fowlkes

2021 Golf Tournament at Pinecrest CC (L-R) Dan-Buddy Livingston-David Branch-Kenny Biggs

When a fivesome qualifies to be part of a foursome post-August 2020 (L-R) Don Metzger-Dan-Tony Jenkins-Joe Osman-Joe Terranova

My purpose in life is to coach. I am a former collegiate basketball coach, director of athletics, and chief of staff. I worked at four NCAA Division I & II universities during my career. At each campus I learned timeless lessons on teamwork and leadership. Today my passion is coaching others on what it takes to lead, serve, and succeed.
