May 2026 the 30-Day Coach4aday Challenge will feature travel pictures. It is a simple daily activity of posting a photo of a place that you have traveled to or a location you plan to visit. Today it is the CLARK TOWER located at the top of park in Winterset IA.

This month marks the 77th consecutive month that friends Jeff Neelon and Jaclyn Donovan have taken on some sort of challenge. For May 2026 participants simply commit to taking or sharing one travel-themed photo each day for 30 days. Each photo just needs to be accompanied by a simple descriptor. Day 19-Clark Tower

On a trip to Winterset IA in 2023 our travel itinerary included seeing some of the Bridges of Madison County, Madison County Courthouse, and John Wayne Museum. What we had not planned was a suggestion we got when we arrived to make the drive up a one-mile curvy one lane dirt road to explore the Clark Tower. It was the highlight of all the great things we saw in this small Iowa town.

Clark Tower rises above the rolling landscape like a stone castle from another era. Once we arrived, we loved the surprise the architecture offered from what we expected from Iowa. It offered us some great views of tree lined valley below.
