#Webcam May 28

The pandemic has caused some products that apparently were not highly regarded to have a resurgence. I had an experience with one.

On March 25, 2020 I discovered the conference call app called Zoom. I own a desktop and a IPhone. My desktop did not have a WEBCAM. Using Zoom on a PC not only gave me more functionality it also allowed me to take notes. When ZOOM became almost a daily occurrence I knew I wanted a WEBCAM for my computer.

I went to Amazon to order a WEBCAM.

I did that on March 30th and it arrived on May 18th. The first issue I had on Amazon was finding one that was available. The next was accepting that it was going to be two months before I could get it delivered. I am happy with HXS 1080P I ordered.

In America millions of people started to work from home, and the demand for webcams surged. I believe that pre-pandemic the WEBCAM was viewed as tech dinosaur, but as Frank Constanza said “I’m Back Baby”.

Another interesting item that is apparently backordered on Amazon are golf pull carts

Many golf courses early on during COVID 19 limited golf to walking only and there was a surge of people looking for a pull cart.

The pandemic has altered buying habits of consumers. Some other items that are hard to find right now include jigsaw puzzles, bread machines, and inflatable pools. Click here to read more
