#Useless January 10

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Last week I wrote a post on accelerating change. Today the focus is on things that have become USELESS to most of us because of change.

First let me admit that many of the USELESS items that will get mentioned are things I still have. Please don’t judge. Logically I know that they serve no real purpose or function anymore. Maybe when it comes time for spring cleaning the USELESS will be the first to go.

List of USELESS Items Today

  1. Blank CD‘s-I purchased packages of 50 to store information and music. They have been rendered obsolete by a flash drive and Spotify for me.
  2. Dictionary– Really don’t we all look up words online or with our phones?
  3. Printed Phone Books-Yes, they have greatly shrunk in size but where I live, they still show up in my yard. We still have one in the kitchen-WHY?
  4. Answering Machine for your Land Line-I realize that these are still in use
  5. Kitchen Egg Timer

Curious on what other readers would offer up as USELESS items they still own.
