Today for the 30-Day Musial Instrument Coach4aday Challenge the post is going to feature the TROMBONE.

Pretty bold statement when as an instrument you are described as the “Voice of God“.

Trombone Facts

There is a lot of uniqueness about this brass instrument we call the trombone. Can start out with it originally being called a “Sackbut“. There are various uses of sackbut-like words in the Bible, which has led to a faulty translation from the Latin bible that suggested the trombones date back as far as 600 BC, but there is no evidence of slides at this time.

Trombone is not lefty friendly. One of the greatest jazz trombonists in history, Slide Hampton, defied all of these obstacles and had a successful career playing the sackbut left-handed.
