Change occurs in our lives. One example for me is I have replaced newspapers with NEWSLETTERS.

Reflection on the past often results in fond memories. That is the case for me with my love affair with printed newspapers. It started as a boy growing up in the New York City Media Market. Sundays meant an opportunity to read 2-3 three papers filled with all types of information and perspectives on events. Oh, how I miss reading the sport pages of the Newark Star Ledger and the entire NY Times.

Decline of Newspapers

The newspaper industry has always been under attack from various factors. In the 1950’s there was a shift that people began to get their news from the TV. Some experts say the big blow was the decline in advertising revenue and circulation revenue. Those declines can be attributed to more and more consumption of digital media. I became one of those declines when in the past two years I cancelled subscriptions to the two daily newspapers I had subscribed to for 20 plus years.

Favorite Newsletters

When I cancelled my newspaper subscriptions, I began to look for NEWSLETTERS that would fill the void. Listed below are some of the ones that I receive:

Leadership Freak by Dan Rockwell

The Morning After by Mark Whicker

The Daily Coach by George Raveling and Michael Lombardi

3-2-1 by James Clear

Seth’s Blog by Seth Godin

Love to hear about any other NEWSLETTERS others recommend.
