Last week I decided to find a new blues artist and I discovered “KINGFISH”.

Kingfish is actually Christone Ingram. He is a young blues guitarist and singer from Clarksdale, Mississippi. He was born on January 19, 1999, and started playing guitar at the age of six. With his powerful vocals and impressive guitar skills, Ingram has been hailed as one of the most promising young blues artists of his generation.

His story was profiled in Blues Blast and talks about his journey to becoming a generational guitar player.

Sometimes it is just easier to let you see and listen to an artist. So, I am going to do that. This first video is from 2020 when Ingram was just 21 years old.

The second video was recorded when he was 20 years old in 2019.

Last one is from a year ago playing with 86 year-old Buddy Guy outside of DC.

When you out there fishing for something new musically you just might catch the Kingfish.
