In July 2025, many of us are taking part in the 30-Day “Tool” Coach4aday Challenge. Each day, the challenge encourages participants to share a tool that can help people with productivity, organization, and communication. Tools are essential in many occupations and hobbies. Today my choice is going to be on a tool used by carpenters called a FRAMING SQUARE.

A framing square (in the past referred to as a steel square) is essential for a carpenter because it ensures precise right angles and accurate measurements in layout work. It is especially valuable for tasks like framing walls, marking stair stringers, and checking square corners in construction projects.
