Dr. Steven Bourquin was a popular math professor with a larger-than-life personality was revered by his students and fellow colleagues at UNC Pembroke.

He possessed a natural gift to stimulate students’ interest in math.

Steven left us on September 4, 2108 and his many friends immediately set out to let his legacy live on through future UNC Pembroke students by creating the Steven D. Bourquin Endowed Memorial Scholarship.

In addition to what has already been donated to the Bourquin Endowed Scholarship to date there is still a need to get the total gifts passed $25,000 so it can be fully endowed.

Coach4aday has decided to create a golf tournament in his honor to help get the funding to that level. The event will be held on September 19, 2019 at1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Country Club in Lumberton NC

All the proceeds from this event will go to UNC Pembroke Foundation Inc. which will apply that exact amount to the scholarship.
